Lutosa Krispy Fries and Lots More Potato Fare at Fair

There will be no shortage of frozen potato companies exhibiting at the October 10-14 Anuga food fair in Cologne, Germany, where Leuze-en-Hainaut, Belgium-headquartered Lutosa Foods, a member of McCain Continental Europe, will be in high profile at Stand B049-C048 in Hall 4.1. Among its wide assortment of value-added items to see and sample will be Krispy Fries, X-tra Crispy Coated Fries, Organic Steak Fries, Hand-cut Coated Belgian Fries, Rösti Burgers and a variety of shredded potato specialties including hash browns.

Operating from two production sites in Belgium (Leuze-en-Hainaut and St-Eloois-Vijve) and employing about 800 people, it typically processes approximately 800,000 tons of potatoes and sells 370,000 tons of finished products per annum. Upwards of 88% of the output is exported to 111 different countries around the world.

While frozen french fries account for most of Lutosa’s sales, the company has long been in the forefront of packing specialty items such Pom’ Pin, Duchesse and Tartiflette. Furthermore, in addition to frozen spuds, it supplies pre-fried chilled chips, ready-cooked pasteurized potatoes and dehydrated potato flakes.
