Gujarat, India-based HyFun Foods, a producer of value added potato products as well as vegetable sticks , bite-sized pocket snacks (puffets), vegetarian pizza and Indian speciality items including Aloo Tiki, Soya Patty and Sabudana Patty, aims to further expand output by investing in three additional production plants and a water treatment facility. According to a report in the Times of India, approximately Rs 850 crore has been budgeted for the project.
“We are setting up the new plants in Mehsana for potato flakes, french fries and potato speciality products,” said Haresh Karamchandani, the company’s chief executive officer and managing director. Construction of the flakes plant has already begun and the facility is expected to be up and running later this year. The other factories are scheduled to be operational next year.
In addition to supplying major quick service restaurant chains including McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell at home and abroad, HyFun Foods also lists Reliance Fresh, Tesco Lotus, Mydin, Big C and Lulu among its retail store clients.
While approximately 70% of annual sales revenue is currently generated from exports to more than 20 countries, it is anticipated that the mix between domestic and overseas receipts will equalize by 2028, which is the target date for more than doubling yearly turnover to Rs 5,000.

Its range of over 25 offerings includes straight cut, shoestring, crinkle cut and flavored french fries, potato wedges, hash browns, nuggets, chili garlic poppers and jalapeño cheesy pops.
