American Lorain Frozen Fries Roll Out in China Market

American Lorain Corporation, a Shandong Province, China-based producer of frozen foods and other convenience products, announced on February 1 that Lorain brand french fries are now ready for sale in the domestic marketplace. The initial production run bound for distribution amounted to 2,000 tons.

"Currently everything is being carried out in an orderly manner, and delivery of the first batch of 10 containers to our offices and dealers will be completed before Chinese New Year [which begins on February 8]," said Si Chen, the company’s chairman and chief executive officer. "In comparison with similar products, we believe that Lorain branded french fries have competitive advantages in price and quality."
