José Boisjoli, president and chief executive officer of BRP Inc., has joined the board of directors of McCain Foods Limited (MFL). He brings to the Florenceville, N.B., Canada-headquartered frozen food company more than a decade of experience as the leader of a successful multi-billion dollar Canadian business with international operations.
“His strategic vision and business experience have grown BRP into a global Canadian success story,” said Andrew McCain, chairman of the MFL’s parent company, McCain Foods Group Inc. “He will be a valued voice on our board as we continue to strengthen the market leading position of McCain Foods Limited around the world.”
José BoisjoliBoisjoli, who holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Université de Sherbrooke, has been president and ceo of BRP since December of 2003, when it became a standalone operation. He joined BRP in 1989 after eight years in the pharmaceutical and road safety equipment industries. In October of 1998 Boisjoli was named president of the Snowmobile and Watercraft division, the largest unit of Bombardier Recreational Products. Three years later he assumed the added responsibility of managing the ATV division.
