Ovofit Eiprodukte, a Bavarian producer of frozen egg-based products, is now out with an innovative version of a favorite German snack: the Currywurst. Its Cook yoo Hot Curry Rolls, featuring bratwurst and curry sauce in a dough jacket, are ready in minutes after heating in either a microwave or conventional oven.
The Neumarkt-Saint Veit, Germany-based firm offers two Currywurst versions: Berlin Style with a red bratwurst, and Ruhrpott Style with a white wurst. Two units come per pack.
Meanwhile, the company’s extensive line of frozen egg and egg-based products runs the gamut from ready scramble, fried and sandwich patty eggs, to gourmet pancakes and egg custard.
For more than 25 years, Ovofit Eiprodukte has supplied McDonald’s Restaurants in Germany and other European countries. Its convenience products for the foodservice sector include Easy Egg, Muffin Egg and pasteurized liquid egg.
