The Hard Rock Cafe restaurant chain kicked off its annual World Burger Tour competition on June 14 in celebration of Hard Rock International’s 54th birthday. Customers are invited to try new burgers featuring locally inspired flavors at over 100 cafe locations around the world through August 5. For example, on the menu at Hard Rock Cafe Rome will be the Lasagna Burger with Ragu Bolognese and bechamel, while guests visiting Atlantic City venue can opt for the Jersey Shore Burger that features a blueberry maple aioli and provolone.

Hard Rock Cafe chefs were challenged to develop unique burger creations that showcase elements from their regional cultures and personal taste. These innovative recipes will be available exclusively at each chef’s local cafe as they compete for a chance to be featured on global Hard Rock Cafe menus later this summer.

This year’s competition marks an exciting first for Hard Rock, with the addition of chef, content creator and brand partner Olivia Tiedemann as both a mentor and judge. She has collaborated closely with participating chefs throughout the competition, sharing her culinary expertise and burger-crafting techniques to help elevate each recipe.

“Working with them has been incredibly fun. Each one brought such passion and creativity to their recipes, and I’m amazed by how they’ve transformed classic burger concepts with their unique local influences and personal stories,” said Tiedemann.

The top five burger recipes will be selected and announced later this summer. Then the finalists will become available at Hard Rock Cafe locations worldwide for customers to experience for a limited time before one final winner is selected.

“The cultures and communities we serve around the globe are a constant source of creativity for Hard Rock. Our guests’ involvement in the competition through experiencing these unique burgers perfectly captures the spirited essence of Hard Rock Cafe,” said Eric Martino, the Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based president of Hard Rock Cafe & Retail.

The first Hard Rock Cafe at Old Park Lane in London opened on June 14, 1971. Launching this competition on Hard Rock International’s birthday celebrates how the brand has evolved over 54 years into an iconic entertainment, hospitality and lifestyle company with more than 300 Hard Rock Cafes and Rock Shops, Hotels, Resorts and Casinos worldwide.
