Lantmännen Unibake Buys Baguette Bakery in Sweden

International bakery group Lantmännen Unibake has announced the acquisition of Anderson Bakery, a Huddinge, Sweden-based producer of bake-off Bonjour baguettes. Terms of the purchase from previous owners Sven-Åke Andersson and Peter Wiberg were not disclosed.

Founded in 1984, Anderson Bakery employs 30 people and rang up sales of SEK 75 million last year. It one of two bakeries supplying the Swedish market with bake-off baguettes. All other volumes are imported.

“This acquisition supports the Lantmännen Unibake growth plan and strengthens our bakery business in the Nordic countries,” said Werner Devinck, the company’s chief executive officer.
