Aylesford, Kent, England-based wholesaler KFF has added five flavors of Little Moons Mochi Ice Cream flavors to its portfolio. The products feature bite-sized balls of ice cream wrapped in rice dough.

Originating in Japan and now hugely popular in the United Kingdom, mochi is made from naturally gluten-free sweet, soft and chewy rice flour dough. The dough is steamed and then wrapped around a center of artisanal gelato ice cream that is made in small batches from slow-churned milk. Free from artificial flavors and preservatives, the product is suitable for vegetarians.

Here’s what’s on offer:

The Himalayan Salted Caramel flavor is a blend of sweet and salty caramel ice cream wrapped in a soft mochi layer, while the Honey Roasted Pistachio variety has a rich nutty, slightly sweet taste. The smooth Creamy Coconut treat is finished with a dusting of desiccated coconut. Summer Raspberry Mochi is loaded with juicy raspberries, while the Passionfruit and Mango option combines sharp and sweet flavors, wrapped in a layer of purple mochi. Suitable for vegans, the tropical treat is made with cashew milk that gives it an extra creamy texture.

All five Little Moons varieties are supplied frozen in cases of 60 x 32g. Just three to five minutes of softening at room temperature after removal from the freezer are required before serving.

As a comprehensive frozen and ambient product range wholesaler within the Sysco Specialty Group, KFF also supplies fruit, vegetables and meat, as well as frozen and fresh fish. Other members of the group include Medina Foodservice, M&J Seafood, Wild Harvest, Freshfayre and Fresh Direct.
