NFRA Names Joe D’Alberto Board Chairman at Annual Convention

The Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-headquartered National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) elected officers and members of the board of directors for 2019-20 during the membership meeting and luncheon held recently during its annual convention in Orlando, Florida.

Joe D’Alberto, director dairy/frozen, Harris Teeter Team, Acosta Sales & Marketing, is the new board chairman. He has served on as a director since 2006, was convention chairman from 2012-17, secretary from 2017-18, and chairman-elect from 2018-19. D’Alberto is also a member of the Honorable Order of Golden Penguins and Distinguished Order of Zerocrats.

Other officers sworn in at the NFRA’s 75th Annual Meeting were: Kevin Schwab of The Pictsweet Company, chairman-elect; John Arnold of Sargento Foods, secretary; Mark Tarzwell of Ateeco, Inc./Mrs. T’s Pierogies, treasurer; Steve Mayle of General Mills, vice chairman-frozen; and Bob Knodle of H.P. Hood, vice chairman-refrigerated.

Newly elected to the board of directors were: Derek DeMuth of Ajinomoto Foods North America; Tom DeTrempe of PepsiCo Beverages & Foods; Tom Finn of Rosina Food Products; Bill Kynast of Chobani Global Holdings; Joe Mueller of Kellogg Company; Matt O’Hare of JOH; David Panter of Associated Food Stores; and Kyle Schaefer of Giant Eagle.

New NFRA officers are sworn in during the trade association’s annual convention in Orlando, Florida.
