Following the return of Thanks Nuggets to the freezer aisles of American grocery stores in September, Salisbury, Maryland-based Perdue Premium Prepared Foods is introducing the product with two novelty Thanks Dippings sauces. As is the case with its white breast meat turkey nuggets, the sauces will be sold for a limited time while supplies last leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday on November 25 in the United States.
Spiced Apple Honey Mustard, inspired by herb and apple stuffing, and CranBBQ Sauce, which adds a dash of smokiness to traditional Thanksgiving cranberry sauce, will be available online starting November 5 at 9 AM ET. They may be procured with sweet potato seasoned breaded turkey nuggets for $14.99 as part of a package deal.
“We were inspired to create this fun complement to Thanks Nuggets by listening to consumers’ reactions to the launch of these unique nuggets last year,” said Jon Swadley, vice president of marketing at Perdue Premium Prepared Foods. “People wanted to know what they should dip the seasonal nuggets in, and some even made creative suggestions. This year, we’ve been able to answer that call by offering dipping sauces, as well as providing recipe suggestions for those who’d like to prepare their own sauces at home.”
