Glendale, California-based Real Good Foods Co. has rolled out a low-carbohydrate, high protein frozen lasagna entree featuring thinly-sliced chicken lasagna noodles, marinara sauce, ricotta and parmesan cheese. The grain-free Chicken Lasagna Bowl serves up 32 grams of protein and only 11 grams of net carbohydrates. Traditional lasagna dishes have upwards of 50 grams of carbs per serving, added sugars and offer very little nutritional value.

“Our brand commitment, ‘Real Food You Feel Good About Eating,’ represents our strong belief that consumers can enjoy more, not less, of their favorite meals,” said Bryan Freeman, the company’s chairman. “By offering this new take on lasagna, an iconic kitchen staple, we’re working to help address concerns related to a variety of health issues including diabetes, obesity, and overall fitness.”

The 9 oz. (225 grams) Chicken Lasagna Bowl is now available at supermarkets and club stores across the USA for an SRP of $5.99. The company, founded in 2017, also offers a wide variety of other frozen entrees as well as breakfast sandwiches and pizzas.
