Recall Underway for Weaver Chicken Breast Patties in USA

Bentonville, Arkansas-headquartered Tyson Foods is voluntarily recalling 39,078 pounds of frozen Weaver brand Chicken Breast Patties with Rib Meat in the United States market after a number of consumers reported finding pieces of extraneous material in the product.

An announcement issued by the company states that “even though these reports are limited,” recall action is being taken “out of an abundance of caution.” Tyson added that there have been no injuries or illnesses associated with the potentially affected product.

The recall includes 26-ounce (737 grams) bags of fully cooked patties produced during January of 2019. Each bag bears the plant code P-13456 and the “best if used” by date of January 31, 2020. Lot codes are: 0319PBF0617, 0319PBF0618, 0319PBF0619, 0319PBF0620, 0319PBF0621, 0319PBF0622, 0319PBF0623 or 0319PBF0600.

This product was sent to distribution centers in the following 10 states: Missouri, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia.
