Soups, Smoothies and More Flavors to Savor from Pinguin

Who says there’s no such thing as a free lunch? Stop by the Pinguin – Greenyard Foods stand at Anuga (E081 in Hall 4.2) from October 10-14 for a 100% vegetarian lunch compliments of the house. From appetizers to the ultimate “Pinguin Platter” main course, members of the Westrozebeke, Belgium-based frozen vegetable and fruit company’s kitchen crew will be offering visitors a four-course sit-down meal.

Here’s what’s on the menu:

  • ping-pump-soup 250Ready-to-eat-and-eat Pumpkin Soup from Pinguin is distributed frozen in convenient mini portions.Choice of two Tapenades freshly made with frozen herbs: Sundried Tomato & Basil, or Green Olives and Capers
  • Selection of two hot soups: Broccoli-Mascarpone or Pumpkin
  • Beverage: Red Fruit Smoothie with Mint
  • Pinguin Platters: Mashed Potatoes with leeks, cream and a pinch of parsley, or Quinoa with Lime and Coriander

Pinguin will unveil a number of new vegetable products at the show. Among them is the Fit Mix Range, featuring four colorful vegetable blends for steaming.

“Easy to prepare in no time, and perfectly portionable, it’s never been so easy to eat a healthy and tasty meal and stay fit,” says Hannelore Dejonghe, marketing manager.

Two new soups will also be on the front burner: Tomato Basil (just heat it up, without adding water, and serve); and Tomato with Meatballs (the pello portion product has proved to be a hit with kids in test marketing).
