Tiefkühltagung 2022 Face-to-Face Again, Slated for May 23-24 in Berlin

After being required to hold virtual events during the height of the coronavirus health crisis, the German Frozen Food Institute (dti) is looking forward to holding an in-person Tiefkühltagung 2022 at the Dorint Kurfürstendamm Berlin on May 23 and 24. Under the theme “Moving into a More Sustainable Future,” the conference will address the transformation of agricultural and food systems, consequences of climate change, crises in the security of energy and raw materials, and the role of the frozen food industry in delivering healthy, sustainable nutrition to consumers.

Among scheduled speakers for the event are: Dr. Hermann Lotze-Campen of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Research; Viviane Raddatz of WWF Germany; Dr. Sabine Eichner, managing director of the German Frozen Food Institue (dti); Leon Halfmann of the Center for Sustainable Management at the University of Witten-Herdecke; and keynoter Renate Künast, a German politician and chairwoman of the Alliance ’90/The Greens in the Bundestag, and former Minister of Consumer Protection. Food and Agriculture (2001-2005).
