Sweet and savoury pâtisserie specialist Tipiak has unveiled a new range of French Chocolate Petits Fours for the British foodservice and hospitality sector. The assortment, distributed in the UK by Collingtree, Northampton-headquartered Central Foods, features a selection of flavors, shapes and toppings designed to provide operators with authentic, eye-catching mini pastries.

The “thaw and serve” treats includes chocolate and feuilletine squares, chocolate and hazelnut tartlets, chocolate, mascarpone and coffee squares, caramel and chocolate tartlets, milk chocolate, Tonka flavored financier, milk chocolate and coconut shortbreads, hazelnut and chocolate fingers, and chocolate and raspberry cakes.

“Chocolate is a flavor that’s always in fashion, and our new selection brings together a mouth-watering range of some of our most popular chocolate petits fours,” said Marie Emmanuelle Chessé, international development project manager for Point-Saint-Martin, France-headquartered Tipiak. “The beauty of petits fours is that they can be served in a variety of ways – as part of an afternoon tea, with a coffee as a café gourmand, to round off a meal, or as part of a trio of mini desserts, which is a popular way of offering customers and diners a lighter choice of dessert and appeals to those with smaller appetites or those who are looking to indulge without guilt.”

Made with free-range eggs, the Tipiak French Chocolate Petits Fours selection features 42 individual pieces and includes eight different flavors. Labeled images on the outside of the box make product identification easy. Simply remove from the freezer, defrost in the refrigerator for three hours and the product is ready to serve.

“Our aim is to be the perfect partner to chefs and foodservice professionals, and we’re delighted to be launching our new selection in the United Kingdom at a time when the hospitality sector is looking to open up. Once pandemic restrictions are lifted, we predict that people will be keen to treat themselves, and chocolate is the ultimate sweet treat – pretty much an essential item on any dessert menu,” said Ms. Chessé.
