Sydney, Australia-headquartered TNA has officially opened a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Holland, further reinforcing its position as a major manufacturer of food processing equipment for the potato and vegetable processing industries.

Situated in Woerden, 30 kilometers outside of Amsterdam, TNA Netherlands Manufacturing (formerly Florigo Industry BV) is dedicated to cutting edge machinery, including its range of fryers and freezers, but also pre-processing equipment such as peelers, washers and dryers. With a total area of 3,600 square meters, the factory will allow for increased production capacities while making the company’s technology even more accessible to customers and prospective clients in Europe and beyond.

Now double the size, the Center has been equipped with an even wider range of food processing machinery, enabling customers to get a first-hand experience of how TNA’s equipment operates in a fully operational factory setting. In addition, a showcase of the latest controls technology will help food manufacturers gain a better understanding of how advanced equipment integration, detailed data collection and cloud-based controls can transform production line efficiencies.

“We’re incredibly excited to officially open our new food processing center,” said Nadia Taylor, the company’s co-founder and director. “The site is three times bigger than the previous Florigo factory, which not only strengthens our current manufacturing capabilities, but also ensures that we have the capacity to further expand operations in the future.”

Since acquiring Florigo in 2015, TNA has made a number of significant investments and increased the local workforce by 80%. With equipment ranging from materials handling, processing, cooling, coating, distribution, seasoning, weighing, packaging, inserting and labeling, metal detection, verification and end-of-line solutions, TNA promotes itself as the only single-source supplier in Europe offering integrated solutions for every step of the potato processing line.

“The Netherlands has always played an important role in the global potato processing industry,” stated CEO Alf Taylor. “The Dutch are not only among the top ten potato producers in the world, but also achieve the highest average yield rates per square meter. We’re proud to be part of such an important sector and look forward to continue sharing our own success with the local industry.”
