TNT Crust, a Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA-headquartered manufacturer and distributor of pizza crusts to frozen pizza makers, foodservice operators and retail channels, has acquired a production unit in St. Charles, Missouri, to support continued growth and output across all product lines. It is anticipated that the additional capacity will be operational by the second half of 2020.

“This expansion represents a transformative milestone for TNT and one that we have been working towards since our acquisition by Peak Rock in 2018,” said CEO Scott McNair. “We are very excited to have the opportunity to meaningfully grow with our valued customers and continue to support their commercial success for years to come. The new facility will be outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and exemplifies our commitment to enhancing our production capabilities and leading the industry in quality, service, and innovation.”

Robert Pistilli, managing director of Austin, Texas-based Peak Rock Capital, added: “We are enthusiastic about the progress that the TNT team has made to date, and this investment is a testament to our support for the company. We look forward to finding additional avenues to help achieve strategic growth plans in the future.”

The Missouri unit will complement TNT’s operations in Wisconsin and provide a strategic distribution point to serve new and existing customers from both locations. Situated on 12 acres of land, the 100,000-square-foot site in St. Charles offers plenty of space to support future growth. New operations at the site are also expected to create more than 100 jobs for people in the greater St. Louis area. In addition, the company aims to continue to expand operations in Green Bay.

TNT Crust is a portfolio company of Peak Rock Capital, a middle-market private investment firm. Founded in 1981, its product line includes partially baked self‐rising flatbreads as well as gluten-free, vegetable-based and traditional pizza crusts.
