The White Castle fast food restaurant chain is combining two popular proteins in its new Cheddar Bacon Cheese Slider now stocked at Walmart stores and set for rollout at additional grocer’s freezer aisles in the months ahead.
The product boasts 100% beef, steam-grilled onions, a signature bun and a slice of cheddar flavored with real bacon pieces.
According to a US frozen snacks market report from Mintel, consumers across the country continue to crave cheese in their frozen snack purchases, and this product addresses that demand.
The latest offering is available exclusively in 16-count packs containing three varieties: four Cheddar Bacon Cheese Sliders, six Jalapeño Cheese Sliders and six Classic Cheese Sliders.
“With the new Cheddar Bacon Cheese Slider, we’re serving up bold flavor with a crave-worthy twist,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president at Columbus, Ohio-headquartered White Castle.
White Castle, America’s first fast-food hamburger chain, has been making Sliders since 1921. The family business owns and operates approximately 340 restaurants as well as retail division, in addition to meat packing plants and bakeries.
