The first-ever “Egypt Cold Chain Exhibition” took place in Cairo on January 22-23, featuring 32 exhibitors, 11 education sessions and over 400 attendees. The exhibition was hosted by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA) and World Food Logistics Organization (WFLO), a core partner of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA).

The event provided agriculture and cold chain market players the opportunity to network and learn the latest in cold chain technologies and operational innovations. The exhibition featured two days of educational sessions relevant to the diverse attendees who represented all areas of the perishable food supply chain.

GCCA Senior Director of Business Development James Rogers (seen in the photo above) traveled to Cairo to support the organization, and made a presentation on “Maximizing Your Cold Chain Business with Access to Resources.” It highlighted best practices, technical services, educational opportunities and other resources that the Alexandria, Virginia, USA-headquartered trade association provides to businesses around the world to help strengthen the global cold chain.

GCCA member companies including Amana Contracting Group, DGridEnergy, LLC, Hepworth Industrial Wear Pty Ltd, Johnson Controls, Mayekawa, Metaflex Doors, SolarXWorks LLC, and Twintec participated as exhibitors.
