Boulder, Colorado, USA-based Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt has introduced its first snackable offering with the debut of Yasso Poppables. The creamy Greek yogurt bites are covered in a chocolatey coating and sprinkled with quinoa crunch.

On the heels of launching frozen Greek yogurt sandwiches last fall, the brand’s newest innovation is available in four flavors including coffee, sea salt caramel, vanilla bean and mint. At just 60 calories each, Yasso Poppables are being promoted as a “perfect round, bite-sized better-for-you snack…featuring live and active cultures, no artificial ingredients and packing big flavor.”

“We are always looking for ways to disrupt the better-for-you frozen category and are excited to enter the snacking segment,” said CEO Craig Shiesley. “The launch of Poppables marks a new phase of innovation and creativity, and we are thrilled about what’s in store for the future.”

Yasso is now ranked #5 in America’s retail novelty dessert sector, surpassing legacy players like Klondike, according to IRI data.  And while the brand is busy innovating in new formats, the company hasn’t forgotten about its core base Yasso bars, unveiling a refreshed Mini Chocolate Mint Bar. Its flavor formulation upgrade comes as a result of a consumer survey revealing a strong desire to up the ante of mintiness. Hence the formula of its most popular core flavor was reworked to pack each product with 25% more mint.

Yasso products are stocked in the freezer aisles of supermarkets and other retailer stores throughout the United States. The new Poppables offering, priced at $6.49 per 6-pack, is now available at Wegmans, Kroger, Jewel Osco, Hannaford and Harris Teeter.
