Meanwhile, the global cruise industry has been pretty much at anchor due to the the coronavirus pandemic since last March. While the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a road map for the eventual return to cruising from and from American ports, it is not known when business will be able to resume in earnest. However, there is hope that resumption of conditional sailing subject to new anti-coronavirus protocols could happen in April or May of this year.
