Beechdean, the United Kingdom’s largest family-owned ice cream manufacturer, has been recognized for their innovative flavors with a retail industry award. The Cheshire, England-based business received accolades in the Best Innovation category for its Oh So Jammy Doughnut Ice Cream at the Morrisons Frozen Supplier Conference 2025.
The award recognizes the most creative and impactful product launches across Morrisons’ entire frozen food category. Given that the retailers’ frozen suppliers span savory, bakery and desserts, the prize marks a significant win for Beechdean amid a highly competitive field.
Since its launch, Oh So Jammy Doughnut has been one of the strongest-performing NPDs within the company’s portfolio, receiving standout feedback from Morrisons’ customers and colleagues. The flavor also generated substantial social media engagement, which Morrisons highlighted as evidence of its strong consumer resonance both in-store and online.
Much like most of Beechdean’s range, the Oh So Jammy Doughnut ice cream is made with British milk and double cream, combining a raspberry sauce center with doughnut sponge cake pieces. An indulgent treat that’s still free from artificial colors, flavors and preservatives, it’s also suitable for vegetarians.
Beechdean’s partnership with Morrisons started in 2024. This latest recognition builds on the businesses’ reputation as a trusted partner to the UK’s leading retailers, supplying both private label products and branded ranges across ice cream, desserts, vegan, and yoghurt categories.
