Miso-Marinated Cod Cube Wins Big in Seafood Excellence Asia Competition

Lam Kee Fisheries Pte Ltd of Singapore received the 2025 Best New Product award for its Snow Treasures Miso-Marinated Cod Cube entry in the Seafood Excellence Asia competition at Seafood Expo Asia (pictured above). Prizes for second and third place were respectively won by Vinh Hoan Corporation of Vietnam for its Protein Pho Fusion, and Gumusdoga Su Urunleri of Turkey for Frozen Salmon Trout Fillet (pictured below).

The Seafood Excellence Asia awards recognize product leaders in the highly competitive Asian market. The winners were selected from a group of finalists representing new seafood items from around the world. Each entry was judged based on several criteria, including eating experience, packaging, market potential, originality and convenience.

A live judging took place in the Product Showcase on September 10 by a panel of high-volume seafood buyers and industry experts from the retail and foodservice industries across Asia. The judges included representatives from Central Food Wholesales Ltd of Thailand, Emart from South Korea, SATS Catering from Singapore and Cold Storage and Giant from Singapore.

The annual competition in Singapore is an extension of the Seafood Excellence awards featured at Seafood Expo North America in Boston and Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona, which consist of fishery product buyers tasting, judging and selecting the best seafood products in the retail and HORECA (hotel/restaurant/catering) sectors.
