Chatsworth, California-based Synear Foods USA is recalling approximately 71,603 pounds of frozen not-ready-to-eat (NRTE) pork and crab soup dumplings due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. According to the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, the products contain peanut oil, a known allergen, which is not declared on the label.
The soup dumplings in question, produced between October 15, 2025 and February 23, 2026, are described as follows:
• 13.23-oz. plastic bag packages labeled Synear Supreme Soup Pork & Crab with best by dates of 15 Oct 2026, 10 Nov 2026, 23 Dec 2026, 26 Jan 2027, or 23 Feb 2027.
• 375-gram plastic bag packages labeled Synear a la Soup Spreme Pork et Crab with best by dates of October 2026 or January 2027.
The products bear establishment number “EST. 45942” inside the USDA mark of inspection, and were shipped to retail stores in California, New Jersey and Washington as well as Canada.
The problem was discovered during a routine allergen verification check when FSIS personnel identified that the products were formulated with peanut oil, but peanuts were not declared on the label.
Thus far, there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these itema. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.
FSIS is concerned that some of the recalled SKUs may be in home freezers. Persons who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. They should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase for a refund.
