Red Baron pizza, the leading frozen pizza brand in the United States, has launched CrunchTime, a 10-inch, multi-serve microwavable pizza. The rollout comes as the unit of Marshall, Minnesota-headquartered CJ Schwan’s celebrates 50 years in the frozen pizza business.
“We’re focused on bringing consumers the flavors and convenience they’re looking for,” said Katie Hagen, Red Baron’s senior marketing manager. “CrunchTime pizza is an exciting addition to our lineup — giving families a new way to enjoy a full-size pizza in just five minutes.”
Speedy meal preparation is increasingly important for time-pressed consumers. Today, half of all meals served at home are prepped and cooked in under 15 minutes, according to research recently published by Circana.
Featuring a pizzeria-style crust, CrunchTime is being merchandised alongside Red Baron’s full-sized pizza portfolio. The new product is available at major retail outlets and grocery stores throughout the United States in three varieties: Pepperoni, Meat Trio and Four Cheese, with a suggested retail price of $5.99.
The launch will be supported by a national marketing campaign later this year.
