This summer Americans won’t need a tent, bug spray or even a campfire to enjoy s’mores, a popular confection consisting of toasted marshmallow and chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of graham cracker traditionally cooked over a campfire. They will be able to indulge in Breyers Campfire Collection of S’mores conveniently kept cool in the Unilever company’s new Breyers S’mores Freezerpit cooler to facilitate on-the-go transport of the gooey marshmallow, creamy Hershey’s milk chocolate and crunchy graham cracker treat distributed in tubs as well as in bar and sandwich formats.
On May 30 Breyers will debut the Freezerpit at Chicago’s Maggie Daley Park, in the heart of the city’s bustling downtown where firepits are few and far between. Guests have been invited to gather ’round the Freezerpit to enjoy log-style seating, acoustic music and Breyers Campfire Collection S’mores bars and sandwiches, while supplies last.
“Many people assume that the marshmallow-roasted taste of s’mores can only be found around a firepit. Breyers found a way to take the most beloved part of camping — the s’mores — and make it accessible to anyone, anywhere,” said Bentley King, US head of ice cream marketing operations at Unilever. “The Freezerpit makes that joy possible, even in the middle of a city. This experience is a first-class example of how the brand is centered around cultivating simple moments for families and friends to come together and make memories.”
And for those who can’t make it to the park, from June 2-13 fans of frozen sweet treats across the USA can enter to win a Mini Freezerpit, a tabletop-sized, firepit-inspired cooler, a pint of Breyers Campfire Collection S’mores that fits inside and four skewer-inspired spoons. Whether in one’s living room, backyard or at the workplace, s’mores just got a lot more portable – and less sticky.
In formulating the Campfire Collection of S’mores, Breyers used real Hershey’s milk chocolate to create the classic s’mores taste in three formats:

These feature a base of toasted marshmallow and crunchy graham cracker with added chocolate swirls made with creamy Hershey’s milk chocolate.
Campfire Collection S’mores Bar
The S’mores Bar, available in stores and out-of-home, has a core of toasted marshmallow base surrounded by a chocolate layer made with smooth Hershey’s milk chocolate coated in graham cracker crunch.
Campfire Collection Sandwich
The filling is toasted marshmallow base infused with chocolate swirls made with Hershey’s milk chocolate, all between two graham cracker wafers.
