White Castle is best known for Slider hamburgers, but the 101-year-old fast food restaurant chain has also achieved notoriety for chicken products. Indeed, three billion Chicken Rings have been sold since 1995. When placed end-to-end, they would stretch nearly 95,000 miles, or 3.8 times the circumference of Earth, according to the Columbus, Ohio, USA-based company’s publicity department.

“To reach this milestone is an accomplishment our team takes significant pride in,” said Vice President Jamie Richardson, adding that uniquely shaped, lightly breaded all-white meat Chicken Rings are offered with a choice of three dipping sauces: Honey Mustard, BBQ and Ranch.

White Castle now has its sights set on serving up its four-billionth Chicken Ring. For a limited time only, it is offering a 10-piece deal for $2.99 ($3.99 in Arizona, not available in New York or New Jersey).

In a collaboration with Minneapolis, Minnesota-headquartered Bellisio Foods, White Castle Chicken Rings packaged in stand-up, resealable pouches are heading to the freezer aisles of supermarkets and grocery stores this summer.
