Scottsdale, Arizona-headquartered Kahala Brands, parent company of the owner of the Cold Stone Creamery brand, announced on June 16 that Vietnam is the next country in which multiple Cold Stone Creamery stores will be located with TNC Holdings JSC. The master franchisee plans to establish 30 outlets in the Southeast Asian nation over the next five years, with the first one set to open in the metropolitan area of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).

Ltd,” said Eddy Jimenez, senior vice president of international operations and development for Kahala. “We know they will do a wonderful job at exemplifying what the Cold Stone Creamery brand is and they will continue to carry on the culture we have developed worldwide.”

“Cold Stone Creamery is a premium American ice cream concept in which product is hand crafted daily in each store, and then customized by combining a variety of mix-ins on a frozen granite stone. This will be very inviting to the Vietnamese people,” said Phan Duc Binh, TNC’s chief executive officer. “However, it’s the in-store experience and the fun environment Cold Stone Creamery creates that keep people coming back.”

Over the past decade the company has continued to expand outside of the USA home market, where it has approximately 1,200 shops. Overseas growth began in 2005 when a store opened in Tokyo, Japan. Today, Cold Stone Creamery outlets are operating at nearly 300 international locations in over 25 countries including the Philippines, Cyprus, Kuwait, Qatar, Trinidad, Nigeria, Egypt and Indonesia.
