Conagra Powers Up Healthy Choice Power Bowls Rollout
- Cuban-Inspired Pork Bowl: Tender braised all natural pork loin with black beans and vegetables served on top of brown and red rice, red quinoa and black barley with a sofrito sauce.
- Chicken Sausage & Barley Bowl: Sweet apple and gouda cheese, sausage made with all natural chicken and vegetables served on top of barley with a roasted garlic sauce.
- Adobo Chicken Bowl: Made with pulled all natural chicken breast with vegetables served on top of brown and red rice, red quinoa and black barley with a guajillo chili sauce topped with roasted pepitas.
- Korean-Inspired Beef Bowl: Tender braised all natural USDA choice beef with shiitake mushrooms and vegetables served on top of brown and red rice, red quinoa and black barley with a spicy gochujang and soy sauce topped with black and white sesame seeds.
Chicago, Illinois-headquartered Conagra Brands has launched a frozen range of Healthy Choice Power Bowls featuring bold flavors and an intentional balance of ingredients that align with the perception of healthy eating foods among a growing segment of American consumers.
"Our approach insists that every ingredient matters," said Alan Brooks, associate brand manager at Healthy Choice. "Every Power Bowl is made with an intentional combination of whole grains, mixed greens, vegetables and natural proteins catering to people living an active lifestyle."
Available in four flavors, the microwaveable products are quick and easy to prepare and offer more than 16 grams of protein and six to eight grams of fiber. The recipes are inspired by international cuisine and feature recognizable ingredients – including all-natural meat (chicken raised without antibiotics, USDA Choice beef and all natural pork loin).

The Power Bowl serving bowls themselves are made from a plant-based fiber rather than plastic, resulting in a significant reduction in energy usage.
The new meals, distributed in 9.25-ounce (269 gram) to 9.75-ounce (276 gram) packs, began rolling out in May and will reach full national distribution by August. Meanwhile, among other new frozen bowl products on deck for distribution by Conagra this summer are Banquet Mega Bowls and the Frontera Barbacoa Taco Bowl.

Segmenting our business across the good, better, best continuum not only moves existing consumers to more premium offerings, but introduces younger consumers to the brand through more contemporary products,” said Darren Serrao, chief growth officer of Conagra Brands.
“These new Power Bowls reflect more contemporary food values and pack more ingredient diversity and density into each meal,” he added. “We've combined antibiotic-free proteins, ancient grains, vegetables and dark leafy greens with pulses and seeds in a variety of delicious and bold flavors.”
