Denver, Colorado-headquartered Atkins Nutritionals, Inc. is introducing a line of premium frozen pizzas that target consumers seeking low-carbohydrate, high-protein pizza options. Four selections, retailing at a suggested price of $4.29, will be available across the USA starting in March,
The varieties are:
Half of all pizza consumed in the United States are eaten at home, according to the USDA. Now consumers will have a low-carb option from Atkins whenever their craving strikes, as there are only 11 grams of net carbohydrates per serving in each offering. Servings contain just 320-410 calories and two grams of sugar, while packing 23-26 grams of protein.
The new line expands Atkins’ existing range of frozen foods, which includes breakfast sandwiches and other dinner entrees.
