With pizza recently taking the top spot on menus in Great Britain, according to Horizons trends data, Dr. Oetker Professional (UK) has rolled out a new frozen pizza base formulated to help restaurateurs and other foodservice operators deliver a more authentic, freshly baked crust.

That’s why we’ve worked hard to create a dough pizza base that delivers real authenticity to menus.”

Distributed exclusively by Dr. Oetker Professional, the nine-inch rising dough pizza base comes topped with a classic tomato passata that will compliment any topping. Without the hassle of dough pucks, operators simply need to add desired ingredients to the frozen base and bake in the oven.

“This is ideal when the pressure is on or when the main kitchen is closed,” said Haworth. “As the base can be cooked from frozen, it removes any risk of waste and allows caterers to make fresh, great tasting pizzas to order. It also means they can top it their way and update menus with ease, from classics to seasonal specials – or let customers choose their own and make the most of the personalization trend.”

Marketed as “Fresh Dough Pizza Base,” the frozen product is also available in a large 22-inch version.
