King Frost Adds Mega-sized Lincolnshire Fishcake to Lineup in UK

Growing consumer demand in Britain for larger portions of fish with their chips has brought the introduction of King Frost’s new Lincolnshire Fishcakes, which weigh 140 grams each and come in packs of 24. Featuring a proprietary blend of fish, potato, herbs and spices, and covered in a light, crispy breadcrumb, they will shallow-fry in 12 minutes or deep-fry in seven minutes.

The Young’s Foodservice product joins an established line of Lincolnshire Fishcakes under the King Frost label, including 113-gram, 85-gram and 50-gram standard size offerings.

As fish and chips is the meal that home-bound families missed the most during two-months of coronavirus lockdown isolation, the King Frost marketing team believes the time is right to promote extensive menus with additional products and a selection of sizes to appeal to all consumers.

With hospitality venues and restaurants still closed, consumers are relying on fish and chip shops more than ever for their favorite fish feast. Operators are therefore keen to offer quality fish in a variety of different formats to meet demand.
