The Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA-headquartered National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) elected its 2022-23 slate of officers and board members during the trade group’s annual board of directors meeting on October 15.
Kevin Schwab, executive vice president and chief commercial officer for sales and marketing at the Bells, Tennessee-headquartered Pictsweet Company, has been chosen to serve a second term as chairman of the board. He has served as a director from 2003-05 and again from 2012-22, and was chairman-elect from 2019-21. Schwab is also a member of the Honorable Order of Golden Penguins.
Other officers elected during the meeting were: Neil Ritchey, of InnovAsian Cuisine Enterprises, chairman-elect; Tracy Aquila of Southeastern Grocers, secretary; Mark Tarzwell of Ateeco, Inc./Mrs. T’s Pierogies, treasurer; Tye Anthony of Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG), vice chairman – frozen; and Joey Bates of Harris Teeter, vice chairman – refrigerated.
Newly elected to the board of directors were: Bryan Chartrand of Acosta Sales & Marketing; Parag Shah of The Giant Company; Clinton Wilson of Sargento Foods; Shawn Darmody of Target Corporation; and Teresa Whitney of Albertsons Companies.
Re-elected to the board were: Jim Buchta of Crossmark; Tony Caloroso of Schraad Sales & Marketing; Angie Christos of Tyson Foods; Derek DeMuth of Ajinomoto Foods North America; Joe Mueller of Kellogg Company; and David Panter of Associated Food Stores.
