Wellesley, Massachusetts, USA-based Good Food Made Simple is transitioning its line of frozen burritos and wraps to made-with-organic ingredients and debuting new packaging. Beginning this summer the company’s Breakfast Burritos, Breakfast Wraps and Entrée Burritos recipes will feature a minimum 70 percent organic content, and some will be USDA certified organic.
“We’ve always strived to use organic ingredients and, after several months in the test kitchen with our chef, we are delighted to be able to offer many of the Good Food Made Simple recipes as made-with-organic,” said CEO George Gavris. “Shoppers seeking better, cleaner foods no longer have to skip past the frozen aisle. They can reach for our products and know they’re going to have a delicious, cleaner breakfast, lunch or dinner – even if they don’t have time to prepare it for themselves.”
In business since 2011, Good Food Made Simple built its foundation by catering to consumers seeking frozen breakfast solutions. Today its growing range includes the nation’s leading offering of breakfast burritos in the natural and organic segment, according to Gavris, as well as steel cut oatmeal, scramble bowls, and egg white patties.
At the recently held Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California, the company unveiled two new made-with-organic Breakfast Wraps: Spicy Veggie and Spinach and Mushroom. Additionally, USDA organic Entrée Burritos in Spicy Three Bean and Black Bean & Veggie were debuted. Show-goers also got a glimpse of the company’s new Buttermilk and Blueberry Waffles, which are positioned as a cleaner alternative to one of the most popular breakfast choices made by North Americans.
Later this year nine made-with-organic Entrée Bowls will be introduced to meet consumer demand for wholesome, conveniently prepared meals at lunchtime and during dinner occasions. Good Food Made Simple Entrée Bowls will be available in varieties including Cavatappi Bolognese, Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese and Chicken Mole.
