The Oumph! brand emerged victorious as the winner in the World Plant-based Awards competition’s Best Plant-based Packaging category on September 8 during the Plant Based World Conference & Expo North America in New York City.

“Oumph! packaging has an iconic design that stands out to consumers and stood out to our panel of judges,” said Dan Bunt, marketing manager at FoodBev Media and the World Plant-based Awards event. “The competition this year was exceptionally close, and I hope all finalists and entrants are proud of their accomplishments.”

The triumphant packaging design was created by the Bath, UK-based Sunhouse Creative agency with input from Linda Arnason, global brand manager at Oumph!, and members of the Livekindly Collective packaging team.

“We are thrilled to receive this prestigious award,” said Henrik Еkerman, global brand leader of the Mjolby, Sweden-headquartered company. “Oumph! is a progressive choice and we wanted the packaging to match that. With our new recyclable packaging the aim is to further limit our environmental impact.”

The company is part of Livekindly Collective, which sells plant-based food brands in more than 40 markets spanning the globe from Nordic countries, Britain, and Germany to Australia, the Netherlands, America and beyond. Oumph’s soya protein product assortment, which ranges from faux Meatballs and Sausages to Spiced Kebab, Pulled BBQ Chunk and Sticky Smokehouse-stye Ribs, targets a growing number of vegan and flexitarian consumers looking for convenient frozen offerings.
