Schwan’s Red Baron brand is kicking off National Pizza Month in the United States by expanding its portfolio of frozen products with the launch of Pizza Melts and Stuffed Crust Pepperoni Pizza.
“With more families eating at home right now, we’re providing busy and time-strapped parents with even more mealtime solutions,” said Sara Brohl, marketing director at Bloomington, Minnesota-based Schwan’s Consumer Brands. “Pizza Melts and Stuffed Crust are a delicious evolution of flavors found in our existing Red Baron pizza portfolio and deliver the same great pizza taste parents and kids have grown to love.”
Here are details about each offering:
- Red Baron Pizza Melts deliver a melty, bold pizza flavor sandwiched between crispy toast and can be prepared a microwave oven in under three minutes. Available in Pepperoni, Four Cheese and Supreme flavors, the product is selling for a suggested retail price of $3.50 in the freezer sections of supermarkets and grocery stories throughout the USA.
- Red Baron Stuffed Crust Pizza, featuring Pepperoni, Four Cheese and Meat-Trio flavors, has melted mozzarella baked right into the crust and a unique rectangular shape. It is now listed at select Walmart and Kroger stores for $7.49, and is slated to roll out in the freezer aisles of grocery stores nationwide in May 2021.
