Red Lobster Invites Customers to Get Crackin’ During Return of Crabfest

It’s been a four-year wait, but Crabfest is now back on the menu at Red Lobster seafood restaurants in the United States for a limited time. Diners can choose from a full pound of steamed Snow or Bairdi Crab Legs and then select a flavor option like roasted garlic butter, honey sriracha, lemon pepper, or simply seamed – all served over crispy potatoes, with a side dish.

Additionally, for those in the mood for a surf and turf entrée, the new Crab & Oscar-Topped Sirloin features a half-pound of snow crab paired with a 7 oz. sirloin steak topped with lump crab in a garlic cream, served with choice of two side dishes. All meals come complete without warm, buttery Cheddar Bay Biscuits.

“We’re thrilled to welcome back Crabfest after four years and to celebrate, we’re adding a flavor twist that’s sure to have guests cracking into crab like never before,” said Patty Trevino, chief marketing officer at Orlando, Florida-headquartered Red Lobster. “We’ve created a menu that gives guests the opportunity to experience Crabfest their way – from choosing from a variety of flavor options to offering delicious appetizer and dessert choices, and of course refreshing summertime sips, it’s the perfect way to kickstart the summer season.”

What’s not on Red Lobster’s Crabfest menu this year, however, are Jumbo Snow, Dungeness Crab and King crab. King Crab is missing because the Alaska fishery has been being closed for the past few years, coupled with the prohibition of imports from Russia due to its invasion of Ukraine and ongoing war.

But while supplies last, Bairdi and Snow Crab Legs can be cracked and snapped. New side dishes and desserts are on offer as well, including seasoned Crabby Cheese Fries topped with Red Lobster’s cheese sauce and lump crab in a garlic cream. Joining the dessert tray is Strawberry Cheesecake, featuring vanilla bean flavor with a strawberry topping and whipped cream.
