SeaPak Shrimp & Seafood Co. has added a tropical twist to its coastal inspired frozen seafood options with the introduction of Coconut Cod. The retail product, featuring wild-caught codfish coated in crispy breading, is promoted as delivering a nutty, slightly sweet coconut burst of flavor, coupled with the buttery, savory taste of cod.

“We are excited to launch this quick and easy delicious Coconut Cod offering, which is sure to be a new family favorite just like our already popular Coconut Shrimp,” said Kristen Beadon, the St. Simons Island, Georgia, USA-based company’s marketing director. “It is a good source of protein and provides a convenient way to consume at two to three servings of seafood per week, as recommended by the United States Departments of Agriculture (USDA) and Health and Human Services (HHS) 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans.”

Four pieces of hand-breaded Coconut Cod come per 7.5-ounce retail package, which is priced at $8.99. Preparation time is 17-18 minutes in a conventional oven and 15-16 minutes in an air fryer.
