In time for the unofficial kickoff to summer and to kick off National Burger Day in the USA, Smashburger, a Denver, Colorado-headquartered fast casual restaurant chain, will offer customers who purchase its new Smoked Bacon Brisket Burger a second one for only $1 on May 28.

Selling for $8.99, the burger features a certified Angus beef patty topped with brisket smoked for 10 hours, then layered with Applewood smoked bacon, smoked cheddar cheese, pickles, and BBQ sauce on a brioche bun.

“As we head into a new season, we’re excited to offer our guests another burger worth celebrating the small wins with. Our passion is to connect with people through food, and while we may be far apart, we know food speaks a universal language. We’re proud to give our guests a modern, food-forward recipe to indulge in during this time,” stated Carl Bachmann, president of the chain that has more than 300 corporate and franchise restaurants operating in 36 states and eight countries.

In addition to its traditional menu offerings, Smashburger is currently giving home chefs the option to create the Smoked Bacon Brisket Burger in their own kitchens. “Take Home Meal Kits” with step-by-step recipe instructions and tips from the restaurant’s skilled culinary team include four burgers and smash tots priced at between $32.95 and $47.95.

While best known for Angus beef burgers, Smashburger also serves grilled or crispy chicken sandwiches, turkey and black bean burgers, salads, signature side items such as Brussels sprouts and SmashFries, and shakes made with Häagen-Dazs ice cream.
