The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has reported that Wilmington, Massachusetts-based Stuffed Foods LLC is recalling approximately 1,818 pounds of frozen Mac & Cheese Bites due to misbranding and the presence of an allergen not declared on labeling. The product may actually contain frozen Buffalo Style Chicken Poppers that were produced on September 28, 2020.

Subject to the recall are 9.75-oz. packages containing a plastic bag with 12 pieces of Mac & Cheese Bites and lot code 20272 or package code “BEST IF USED BY: MAR 22 2022” on the end panel of the carton.

These items were shipped to retail locations across the United States, and thus far there have been no confirmed cases of adverse reactions due to consumption of the products. However, as the FSIS is concerned that some of the products may be in home freezers, it urges consumers who may have purchased the Mac & Cheese Bites in question to either discard or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
