Grimsby, England-headquartered Young’s Seafood is recalling Young’s Simply Breaded 2 Extra Large Fish Fillets from the frozen food sections of supermarkets, other retail stores and customers’ home freezers because they contain a small amount of milk not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

In the United Kingdom the 300-gram pack was distributed to Farmfoods, Iceland and Nisa outlets, while in Ireland it was distributed only to Dunnes stores. Batch codes are AC L 0097, AB L0114, AB L 0116, and the Best Before end date is October 2021.

The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice that reads: “We apologize to retailers and our customers for any inconvenience caused by this recall. The safety and quality of our products is highly important to us and we take all issues regarding the production of our food extremely seriously.”

For details of how to return the product for a full refund, customers are asked to either call the Young’s Seafood care line at 0800 496 8647 or send an e-mail to consumer_care@youngsseafood.co.uk.
