Wild-caught cod burgers and cod tacos, summertime favorites at A&W restaurants across Canada, are back on the menu. The battered fish is served with tangy tartar sauce and creamy coleslaw on a toasted brioche-style bun while the taco features a soft flour tortilla.

As one of A&W’s top-selling limited-time offerings, the Cod Burger is lightly fried, creating a crunch complemented with a tender and flaky texture.

“We’ve seen how much our guests have loved the Cod Burger in the past, and we’re excited to bring it back just in time for summer,” said Karan Suri, senior director of innovation at North Vancouver, British Columbia-headquartered A&W Food Services of Canada. “We’ve become known for having great tasting burgers made with real and natural ingredients, and our Cod Burger is no different.”
Regarded as Canada’s original burger chain, A&W operates over 1,070 restaurants from coast to coast. Its menu boasts a wide variety of beef burgers as well as chicken and veggie burgers, breakfast specialties, fries, onion rings, poutine and apple turnovers, in addition to drinks including the signature A&W Root Beer served in frosted mugs.
