Bryan Hedge has been named president of Pioneer Cold, a Chicopee, Massachusetts, USA-based provider of refrigerated warehousing and logistics services. He joined the company in 2007 as vice president of operations, and was promoted to chief operating officer in 2012.
The new president is responsible for all aspects of Pioneer’s business, including customer and employee relations. A major part of his job will be to set priorities in strategy, asset utilization and revenue growth, and to assure system-wide operational excellence.
Hedge is an active member of the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses, serving on its supply chain operations committee. He is also treasurer of the IARW’s North Atlantic Chapter and is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
Founded in 1947 as Pioneer Cold Refrigerated Warehouse by Joseph J. DeLiso, the company today operates 15,000,000 cubic feet of space supported by over 50,000 pallet positions. It offers a comprehensive range of 3PL services that includes full truckload and LTL temperature controlled freight deliveries to wholesalers, retailers, foodservice operators, production facilities and other end users.
