The Frostkrone Food Group is pleased with its a highly successful appearance at May 19-20 Private Label Manufactures Association (PLMA) show in Amsterdam. The Rietberg, Germany-headquartered company unveiled a new generation of finger food and snack innovations, attracting strong interest among retailers and industry professionals from around the world.

“Once again, the leading European trade fair for own labels proved to be the perfect stage for presenting new product ideas, strengthening existing partnerships and establishing valuable new business connections. Across countless discussions with international retail decision-makers, one message became especially clear: Frostkrone continues to strengthen its position as a highly innovative and reliable partner for the global private-label market,” said Emiel Lommen, the company’s global commercial director.

New Finger Food Highlights
Particular attention was drawn to Frostkrone’s Cheesy Loops (pictured above), which were selected by the PLMA’s expert jury for the New Product Expo 2026. Featuring a golden-brown finish and distinctive ring shape, they are the kind of snack that catches one’s eye in retail store freezer aisles. Smaller than conventional frozen snacks at just 14 grams each, Cheesy Loops are ready to serve after approximately two minutes of preparation. They are available in Cheddar Jalapeño, Cheddar Onion and Cheddar Potato varieties.

Other new product launches also impressed show-goers with their quality, versatility and distinctive flavor profiles. Feedback from retail buyers and visitors was consistently positive, confirming that Frostkrone’s latest creations are in sync with current consumer tastes and snacking trends. Among the tempting presentations were:

Alm Bites – Creamy Obazda-style cheese with a rich, savory flavor, coated in crisp, golden-brown pretzel crumb

Cheesy Cheezies – A hearty combination of two mature Cheddar cheeses and seasoned potato, accented with garlic, onion, tomato and paprika

Mediterranean Herbes de Provence Camembert Triangles – Creamy Camembert wrapped in a fragrant herb coating with rosemary, thyme, basil and marjoram for a true taste of the Mediterranean

Luxurious Truffle Mac & Cheese – Tender Italian pasta with a rich blend of mature Cheddar, Mozzarella and cream cheese, refined with aromatic truffle oil

Popcorn Dog – A smoky Strasbourg-style sausage in a light, fluffy batter

Private Label Continues to Gain Momentum
“PLMA is one of the standout events of the year for us,” said Lommen. “Once again, we saw just how strong the demand is for innovative, high quality finger food concepts within the private label sector. We had some excellent conversations, received very encouraging feedback from the market and are excited to build on the new relationships and opportunities that emerged during the show.”

Private label has evolved far beyond simply being an alternative to branded products. Today, consumers actively trust retailer own labels and increasingly associate them with quality, innovation and value for money.

“As an experienced partner to the retail industry, the Frostkrone Food Group develops tailor-made finger food and snack concepts that combine creativity, premium quality and clear differentiation at shelf level,” said Lommen. “The result is a product range that not only stands out in the frozen aisle, but also helps retailers strengthen customer loyalty and create lasting consumer appeal.”
