Following a limited run test in 2019, the KFC fast food chain launched Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donuts at restaurants throughout the United States on February 24. The offering is available for limited time through March 16, or while supplies last.

As was the case with the nationwide debut of Nashville Hot Chicken in 2016 and Chicken & Waffles in 2018, the Louisville, Kentucky-headquartered Yum! Brands subsidiary company expects that the introduction will create excitement among consumers and increase foot traffic at outlets.

“Chicken & Donuts is the newest fried chicken trend we’re bringing to all of America,” said Andrea Zahumensky, chief marketing officer at KFC US. “But not just any donut would do. Only a donut that’s glazed-to-order and served piping hot every single time can stand next to our hand-breaded fried chicken. It’s a finger lickin’ good dish filled with glaze and glory.”

A variety of options for the sweet and savory meal are on the menu, with prices from $5.49 $7.99. Among them are:

  • Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donuts Basket meal, featuring chicken on the bone or Extra Crispy chicken tenders, paired with one donut. It’s also available as a big basket meal, which includes two donuts.
  • Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donuts Sandwich, a juicy Extra Crispy chicken filet sandwiched between two fully glazed donuts

Customers may further satisfy their sweet tooth by adding an extra donut to any meal for an additional cost.

KFC Corporation is the world’s largest chicken restaurant chain. Among the Yum! Brands unit’s specialties are Original Recipe and Extra Crispy Chicken, Kentucky Grilled Chicken, Extra Crispy Tenders, Hot Wings, Chicken Sandwiches and KFC Famous Bowls. There are more than 23,000 KFC restaurants in 140 countries and territories around the world.
