Gardein, a unit of Conagra Brands, is introducing more diversity to it range of frozen meat alternatives that can be served on breakfast, lunch and dinner occasions. Beginning in June, flexitarians, vegans and vegetarians shopping at retail stores in North America will be able to buy Gardein Ultimate Plant-Based Bratwurst as well as Buffalo and BBQ-style Chick’n Wings, Chick’n Spicy Fillets, Spicy Italian and Bratwurst-style Saus’ge Links, and Breakfast Saus’ge available in Original and Spicy patties.
“Eating plant-based should never mean settling for a limited menu,” said Jill Dexter, vice president and general manager of Chicago, Illinois-headquartered Conagra Brands. “Gardein is committed to adding delicious new food to our lineup, and we’re really excited for consumers to try out these offerings.”
The new products join the Ultimate Plant-Based collection, which debuted in 2020 with the Ultimate Plant-Based Burger, and continued the following year with the first three Ultimate Plant-Based Chick’n items: tenders, nuggets and fillets.
With a portfolio that includes plant-based alternatives to beef, chicken, pork, turkey and seafood, Gardein’s chef-inspired offerings are popular among consumers who eat meatless meals every day or just on occasion. In addition to frozen foods, Gardein also offers canned soups and chili.
