Nom Nom, an innovative pet food brand within the Mars Petcare division, has unveiled its latest fresh-frozen dog food offering: Scoopable Meal Clusters. The product is debuting at SuperZoo and will be available at participating retail stores throughout the United States.
One of the key friction points in feeding frozen dog food has been the challenge of taking it out to defrost in advance and storage once the bag has been opened. Scoopable Meal Clusters are pourable or scoopable-from-frozen and quick thawing to serve to canine pets in just 15 minutes as either a main meal, a treat or topper. Content not served is easily resealed in the bag for freezer storage until the next meal occasion.
“We’re excited to offer the addition of our new Scoopable Meal Clusters – what we fondly call ‘Nombles’ – to provide an easy option to feed fresh-frozen, veterinarian developed ‘vibrant nutrition’,” said Rachel Porges, chief innovation and brand development officer at Nashville, Tennessee-headquartered Nom Nom. “With Scoopable Meal Clusters, pet parents can dish out what they (and their dogs) want, when they want it, defrosting it quickly on the counter.
Scoopable Meal Clusters feature two Nom Nom recipes packed with quality protein and carefully selected carbohydrates and vegetables – Chicken & Sweet Potato and Beef & Potato. Each meets AAFCO guidelines for complete and balanced meals.
In e-commerce channels, the product will be available in a six-pound bag for efficient shipping and serving, while in specialty pet retail stores they will be found in 3.5 pound upright bags made for the shelf.
