Sonic Drive-in restaurant outlets in the United States are warming up the winter season with the its new Extra-Long Ultimate Cheesesteaks, layered with crispy, golden fried Tots grated potatoes. The spicy sandwich bundles thin-sliced seasoned beef and grilled onions, accented with melted cheddar cheese, zesty cheese sauce and a notch of jalapeños along with the Tots in a big bun.

“The cheesesteak is famous for its simple yet deliciously savory combination of steak, cheese and onions,” said Scott Uehlein, vice president of product innovation and development for the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma-headquartered QSR chain that has been in business since 1953. “Our Extra-Long Ultimate Cheesesteaks combine those familiar flavors with the crunch of our famous crispy, golden Tots, taking the cheesesteak experience to one that’s uniquely Sonic. Why just have Tots on the side, when you can have them in every bite?”

Priced at $4.29, the product is now available for a limited time through February 28 at most of Sonic’s 3,500 units in 46 states. The restaurant’s expansive menu offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack and drink options that include SuperSonic Double Cheeseburgers, Spicy Chicken Slingers, Footlong Quarter Pound Coney Hotdogs, Chili Cheese Tots (pictured below), Cheese Fries and Mozzarella Sticks.
