Private label frozen pizzas sold at Aldi, Walmart and other retail stores in the United States have been removed from shelves over possible salmonella contamination after a health alert was issued by the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) regarding meat and poultry products containing FDA-regulated dairy products that may be affected.
Among recalled Aldi products were the following Mama Cozzi’s pizza SKUs with February 17 and 26 Best Buy dates: Biscuit Crust Sausage & Cheese Breakfast Pizza (pictured above); Biscuit Crust Cooked Pork Belly Crumbles, Cooked Bacon Topping; and Pepper & Onion Breakfast Pizza.
Walmart Great Value Stuffed Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch and Thin Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch were also subject to the recall, as was Culinary Circle’s Ultra Thin Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch frozen pizza a best buy date of February 19, 2026.

Consumers who have these products in their freezers or refrigerators are urged to throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
The was triggered after the FSIS was notified by the Food and Drug Administration that multiple FSIS-regulated establishments received FDA-regulated ingredients that contained dry milk powder that had already been recalled.
Eating food contaminated with salmonella can cause salmonellosis, one of the most common bacterial foodborne illnesses. While there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions to the consumption of these products, persons concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.
