Lamb Weston Holdings has announced that Rick Martin, senior vice president and chief supply chain officer of the Eagle, Idaho, USA-headquartered producer and supplier of frozen potato, vegetable and appetizer products, will be retiring from his role as chief supply chain officer effective on August 12. Gerardo Scheufler will assume that position on the same day.
Scheufler brings more than 25 years of supply chain experience to the job. Most recently he was the vice president of global operations at Mondelez International, where he oversaw a major restructuring program to optimize the global supply chain footprint, including the manufacturing, customer service, quality, logistics, health, safety and environment, and innovation functions. Prior to his time at Mondelez, he spent more than 20 years at Procter & Gamble in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility.
“Gerardo will be a great addition to Lamb Weston and our executive team,” said Lamb Weston CEO Tom Werner. “The depth and breadth of his experience leading global supply chain organizations will be an asset to the company as we make progress against our strategic plan.
Addressing Martin’s pending departure, Werner added: “Rick has been a tremendous asset to this company over the last 25 years, and I’m especially grateful for his leadership through the last three years as we transitioned into a stand-alone public company. We wish him well in his retirement,” said Werner.
